Porsche 934 RSR/935 Turbo Jägermeister Gift Set 1977 Norisring Trophy Prior to 1976, Max Moritz, a well respected Porsche dealer in Germany, had gained extensive experience entering numerous Porsches in European events. When the 935 became available to customers in 1977, the Max Moritz team was amongst the first in line, hoping to repeat the excellent results gained the previous year with their 934 RSR Turbo. For 1977, the Max Moritz team campaigned a factory 935 and one of their 1976 cars that wad been converted into a 934/5. Painted in the popular Porsche orange with Jägermeister livery, the team made a splash wherever they went. The biggest splash, however, was undoubtedly the 1977 Norisring Trophy where the 935, wearing #52, took an outright victory at the hands of former Porsche factory driver, Manfred Schurti. Schurti and Edgar Dören also managed a 2nd place finish at the 6 Hour race at Brands Hatch, England, contributing to a successful assault on the World Championship of Makes. |
